Bill jams are commonplace when your kiosk accepts cash payments. No matter how advanced the bill acceptor, there’s always that guy that inserts a bill covered in mud, or something worse, and gums up the device.

A Donation Kiosk (JACK) to Save the Apes

Who knew, after 25 years of running an honest sincere company, I would get involved in monkey business, and be proud of it :).On April 18th 2015, cash and credit card donations started pouring into our donation kiosk at the Houston Zoo’s Ape habitat.This kiosk is different from ones we have built in the last 10 years. Not sure how they are doing it but usually it is skimming where devices are masked as well as cameras (for pin entry). Too often physical privacy is forgotten due to electronic privacy.

Healthcare Kiosks – SoloHealth raises $2.4M + Cleveland Clinic

Health kiosk company SoloHealth has changed its name to Pursuant Health and raised $2.4 million in equity and securities, according to an SEC filing. Per the company’s website, the name change reflects a new partnership with Cleveland Clinic Wellness, which the company embarked on at the end of March. This will add a workplace wellness business to the company’s existing public kiosk business.

SoloHealth takes on new name and new investors. The big differentiator for Pursuant is the Vision Testing module.  That’s mechanically more complex and adds cost. 

‘Check-up from the Neck Up’ — Kiosks for Mental Health Screening
